Snow Melting On The Forbidden City

Snow Melting On The Forbidden City

Jingshan Park, Beijing, CHINA.

One my second day in Beijing, I woke up to a pleasant surprise – it snowed the night before and the whole city was covered in white! Spent the earlier part of the day around the CBD and by the time I got to Jingshan Park after lunch, the snow had already started to melt. Jingshan is the highest point in Beijing City and provides a good vantage point of the Forbidden City. It takes about 15 minutes to hike up to the peak and by the time I got up there, there was some cloud cover thus providing a somewhat eerie overview of the palace grounds. Fortunately there was still some snow left.
